For multi-channel brands · stores, e-commerce, wholesale

Find the profit hiding in your stores, channels and stock.

Most multi-channel brands can't see which stores, channels and products really make money, because their systems disagree. We fix the numbers underneath, tell you what is abnormal every morning before it becomes a bad month, then build AI on top that cuts cost and drives growth.

01 / Why it matters

Small gains in margin and stock are worth more than any cost you'll cut.

When your numbers disagree, every decision about buying, markdowns, stores and marketing spend is made on a guess. At your size, getting those decisions slightly more right is worth a great deal.

£300,000a year from one point of gross margin, on £30M turnover
£500,000of cash released by holding 5% less stock, on £10M of inventory
10×the minimum annual return we look for before recommending any work

Illustrative arithmetic. Your profit check shows what it looks like on your own numbers.

02 / Know before Monday

When trading last dipped, how long did it take to find out why?

For most multi-channel brands, the answer is weeks: pulling exports, asking the agency, arguing over whose number is right. By then it's a bad month. We flag what's abnormal the morning after it happens.

  • .01Every morning, yesterday is compared with the same weekday over the last four weeks.
  • .02Anything outside its normal range goes to the top, with the store, product or channel behind it.
  • .03Suggested actions come from figures checked against Finance, never from a number the AI made up.

03 / Where we start

We start wherever the biggest constraint on your profit is.

Every brand is held back by something different. These are the places we most often find the money, and the audit tells you which one comes first for you.

.01

Stock and buying

Stock reconciled across tills, web, wholesale and warehouse. Reorders, allocation and markdowns based on what is actually selling, by store and size.

Less cash tied up, fewer markdowns, fewer lost sales
.02

Store and channel profitability

True contribution for every store, channel and market, after returns, discounts, fulfilment and staff. See which ones earn their place.

Better decisions on openings, closures and investment
.03

Leadership reporting

One agreed version of every number, ready before Monday's meeting, with what is abnormal flagged at the top. Commentary drafted automatically.

Days of manual work removed every week
.04

Finance operations

Sales-to-finance reconciliation, month-end, wholesale invoicing and currency handled automatically, with exceptions flagged for review.

Faster close, fewer errors, lower overhead
.05

Customer and marketing

One customer view across stores and online. Marketing spend measured against real margin, not platform-reported revenue.

Higher return on marketing spend and retention
.06

Something else

If your biggest constraint is elsewhere, such as wholesale order handling, customer service or product data, the audit will find it and price it.

Ranked by payback, not by what's fashionable
04 / Foundation first, then AI

Most AI fails because the data underneath it is wrong. We fix that first.

Once your systems agree, every AI initiative after it is faster, cheaper and trustworthy. Each round of work builds on the last, so the value compounds.

The foundation

One agreed set of numbers

Every system connected, every definition agreed in writing, every figure checked against your history. In your own cloud, behind your own sign-in. Nothing replaced.

Demand and reorder

Forecasts by store, product and size, with reorder suggestions your buyers approve.

Markdown and pricing

Earlier, smaller markdowns targeted where stock is really sitting.

Daily exception alerts

A 6am email flagging what is abnormal, by store, product and channel, with suggested actions.

Customer targeting

Retention and win-back based on real margin and lifetime value.

Marketing allocation

Spend moved to the channels and products that make money.

Finance automation

Reconciliations, invoicing and close handled automatically, people sign off.

05 / How we work together

Start with a free look at your numbers. Commit only when you've seen what's at stake.

Each step gives you something useful on its own, and every programme is measured against profit and efficiency targets agreed before we start.

Step 1 · Free

Profit check

45 minutes · no charge

Send us last week's trading report under NDA. We trace five headline figures back to your systems, show you where they disagree, and estimate what that could be costing you in margin, stock and time. You keep the findings.

Step 2 · Fixed fee

Profit Constraint Audit

Three weeks · £15,000 fixed

We find and price the constraints holding back your profit, so you know exactly what to fix first and what it's worth.

  • Every system, handoff and spreadsheet behind your key numbers mapped
  • Headline figures rebuilt from source and reconciled
  • Your top five profit and efficiency constraints, each valued in pounds
  • One agreed definition of sale, margin and stock, in writing
  • Your own 6am exception email, built from your last 30 days
  • A phased programme plan with fixed prices and expected returns
If the audit doesn't identify annual gains worth at least ten times its fee, you don't pay. The findings are yours whatever you decide next.
Step 3 · The programme

Fix, then grow

Six to nine months · fixed price per phase

We build the foundation, then deliver the initiatives the audit ranked highest, one phase at a time. Each phase is tested on your own history before it goes live, and measured against the targets agreed at the start. You own everything we build.

Built for brands where one point of margin is worth more than the whole programme.

06 / When it matters most

The moments when guessing stops being affordable.

A new MD or FD

You've inherited the spreadsheets and need to know what to trust, and where the quick wins are, in your first hundred days.

A founder stepping back

Knowledge that lived in one head has to become a system before it walks out of the door.

New investment

New owners expect a reliable monthly pack and a margin plan, quickly, without extra headcount.

Opening abroad

New stores in the US or Europe multiply the complexity unless the numbers are built for it.

Margin under pressure

Costs rising, growth slowing or a turnaround under way. You need to know where the money is leaking, fast.

07 / Case study · Luxury fashion retail

One version of the truth for a multi-channel luxury brand.

A London luxury brand selling through its own stores in the UK, Europe and the US, global e-commerce and wholesale. The founder was handing over to a new managing director, and leadership reporting was rebuilt by hand in Excel every week.

The challenge

Twelve systems that didn't talk to each other. Stock only matched at stock take, finance had no link to sales and teams didn't agree on what counted as a sale. Key knowledge sat with one or two people.

What we did

Worked alongside finance, technology, merchandising, marketing and retail leaders. Traced every figure to source, got each definition agreed in writing and refined a working prototype with each department over thirty-plus versions. Moved historic data across and checked it to the penny.

The result

One reporting platform in the client's own UK cloud behind their own sign-in. The new MD has a clear, trusted view of every store, channel and category, and the foundation for the next round of improvements.

09 / Questions

What MDs and FDs ask us first.

What do you need for the free profit check?

Last week's trading report, or whatever your leadership meeting runs on. We sign an NDA before you send anything, and you can remove commercially sensitive lines if you prefer.

We don't have a reporting problem. Is this still relevant?

Possibly. Reporting is only one place we start. If your biggest constraint is stock, store profitability, finance operations or marketing return, the audit will find it and value it.

How big is a typical programme?

It depends on what the audit finds. We price each phase at a fixed fee against an expected return, and we only recommend work where the return is clearly larger than the cost.

Do we need an internal tech team?

No. Most of our work is with finance, merchandising and operations. We need read-only access to exports and someone who can approve access where it's needed.

We're about to change our ERP or till system. Should we wait?

No. That's the best time to agree definitions and design the layer above it, so the new system goes live with numbers everyone trusts.

Where does our data go?

Into your own cloud wherever possible, behind your existing sign-in. Access is read-only by default and every action is logged. Designed around UK GDPR.

What if we stop working with you?

You keep everything. It's built on standard technology in your environment and documented so your team or another developer can run it.
